Fabled Heroes

Fabled Heroes is a JRPG where you lead a full guild of heroes, whom you have to manage and upgrade, on missions where you annihilate wave after wave of enemies. You also have to take over a tavern that will serve as your operations base.

Each of the quick-running levels puts five of your heroes face to face with a horde of enemies, with a counter showing you at all times how many more monsters are waiting to appear. Each character has his own special skills, as well as specific characteristics according to which position you put him in on the nine-slot grid where you set up your formation.

Besides the challenges mentioned above, the game also has other activities like a sort of asynchronous arena where you confront another player's team of five heroes. With the resources you get from finishing missions and winning special events you can go about upgrading your tavern, which simultaneously provides new equipment and materials to carry on with your endless struggle for power.

Fabled Heroes is an odd game that doesn't require too much effort on your part to move ahead, with more emphasis on micromanaging menus and inventory than on actively participating in battles, where you simply have to decide when to do the special attacks and set up your troop formation beforehand.
